Warren Buffett's company Berkshire Hathaway has been adding to its investments in Wells Fargo & Co., Johnson & Johnson and US Bancorp during January, February and March of 2009.

Berkshire Hathaway disclosed its investments and a number of other changes to its portfolio of stocks, estimated at $41 billion, in documents that it filed with the SEC. The filing shows Berkshire Hathway's holdings at 31 March.

Berkshire acquired almost 12.4 million shares in Wells Fargo in Q1, almost 1.5 million shares in US Bank's parent company and 3.9 million Johnson & Johnson shares.

The increase in Wells Fargo represents an extra 12.4 million shares and Berkshire now has approximately 6.5% of Wells Fargo's outstanding shares. They raised their stake in U.S. Bancorp by 1.5 million shares, after selling some shares in the previous quarter, it now holds approximately 3.7% of the bank.
